The Penguin finale might have secretly introduced The Batman 2's villains. During the quick courtroom tete-a-tete between Oz (Colin Farrell) and Councilman Hady (Rhys Coiro), you may notice a peculiar print around the walls of the courtroom.

But one complete scene stood out to me in the finale as a deliberate set up for where we might see Oz in The Batman: Part 2. Almost as if Matt Reeves asked LeFranc to include this one sequence, just to lay the groundwork for a story he’d like to explore down the line.

The Batman and The Penguin gave clues to the possible next villain in Matt Reeves' upcoming sequel. A scene from The Penguin teased the possibility of introducing Hush as villain in The Batman Part II. The Elliot clan, one of the most powerful families in Gotham City, was also mentioned in Matt Reeves' The Batman.

If Sunday night's finale of "The Penguin" is a further indication of how the world created by Matt Reeves is going to be moving forward, then Batman is in very good hands. The Colin Farrell-led series ended with a bang,

The Penguin had a great ending, and it tees up the events of The Batman 2 – but one tiny change would have made it even better.
