A couple of years ago now, Blizzard released Overwatch 2 as a free-to-play successor to the ever-popular Overwatch. The sequel made come core changes to the experience, namely switching to a 5v5 setup - a change that will be reversed in an upcoming limited-time event in OW2.

Blizzard Entertainment has launched the Overwatch: Classic limited-time event in its free-to-play team-based shooting game Overwatch 2. The Overwatch: Classic event started on November 12 and will run till December 2.

The original Overwatch came out in 2016 and it was a huge success in the competitive online games scene, pushing the Hero Shooter genre into the spotlight. Back in 2022, the game was shut down and a free-to-play sequel was released.

Overwatch Classic will be available for three weeks as an Overwatch 2 game mode, continuing the trend of fun, experimental game events.

Fortnite brought back its original map last year, Apex Legends is doing the same thing right now, and tomorrow, Overwatch will rewind time in its own throwback mode. Blizzard calls it Overwatch: Classic,

Overwatch 2 fans are counting down to the release of a limited time game mode based on classic Overwatch. Seemingly inspired by the success of Fortnite Remix, Overwatch Classic takes things back to the old-school,
