The summit will take place at his residence — the first time as president he's brought foreign leaders to the state.

US President Joe Biden will host the leaders of Australia, Japan and India at his Delaware home this weekend to bid farewell to the so-called "Quad" group that he has pushed as a counterweight to China.

The summit follows prior annual meetups at the White House and in Tokyo and Hiroshima, Japan. The next Quad gathering in 2025 will be hosted by India, with a new president representing the US.

President Joe Biden has made it a priority to elevate the relationship of the Quad, four countries touched by the Indo-Pacific region, the White House said, as he prepares to host the leaders of Japan, India and Australia on Saturday at his Delaware home.

The president will host Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio of Japan in Delaware next week
