Enjoyed our morning at the park. Two hours was just enough time to see the whole park and watch 2 presentations. The park was very clean with lots of shady areas. There was a lot to see and think it’… Full review by Janice R

does this place have the the horrible "shows" with people putting their head, arms, etc. in the alligator mouths or is this more of a zoo intended for education and preservation? thanks!
Hello, I am a photographer and am interested in visiting the Alligator Farm. My question is how accessible the animals and birds are to photograph....meaning would I be shooting through fences or other obstructions, or are they fairly out in the open? Also, what is the best time of year to come, or is there a best time? I'm mostly interested in birds rather than alligators. Thanks, Christal Steele

The Alligator Farm is a photographer’s dream! The best time for bird photography is during the nesting time, which is roughly March - May. The birds come to build their nests in the trees above the huge alligator ponds. There is no netting or bars to mar your photographs and the birds are there ‘voluntarily’ - they can fly in and out and are not captive. Beautiful snowy egrets, roseate spoonbills, herons, etc. Enjoy!
