The Smithsonian Institution Building is very beautiful from the outside, and it is nice just to walk all along the perimeter and admire the detail of the building. Full review by Jack S

We just went on the outside, but how beautiful the architecture of this building is! And beautiful gardens, great for photo ops! We went during cherry blossom and magnolia bloom and it was gorgeous! Full review by 861joser

You can see the entire Smithsonian Institution Building in an hour or two, in my opinion. Spend some time outside in the garden and admiring the architecture. Then see the exhibits inside. It isn't so much a museum as it is a visitor center and information center. There are some exhibits and interactive stuff for small children. It is a pleasant diversion, but in my opinion not a main attraction.
